The X-Plane Air Plugin

In order to use AirFMC (and AirTrack) with X-Plane you need to install a small piece of software in X-Plane called a plugin.

This addon interacts with X-Plane, its different planes and FMC systems by putting all relevant information on the network and by receiving specific commands from apps and feeding them back to X-Plane.

Just download the plugin and copy one of its .xpl files to the "X-Plane/Resources/plugins" folder. Which file to copy will depends on your operating system and X-Plane version; see the INSTALL.txt file for details.

Please make sure you copy the .xpl file only and not the entire folder to the resources/plugins folder.

If you previously had an AirTrack plugin installed, please note that the new HSAir plugin is a universal package that works with both AirTrack (version 3.7 and above) and with AirFMC and replaces the previous software. Hence you will need to upgrade AirTrack to 3.7 or above and you will need to delete any previously installed AirTrack plugin.

Also note that even though you may be running a 64 bit OS like Windows 7 64 or MacOS, your version of X-Plane may be 32 bits so you might need the 32 bit plugin file. All versions of X-Plane 9 and 10 below 10.20 are 32 bit versions.

That's all, you don't need to configure anything else, just launch X-Plane and your flight should show up in AirFMC and AirTrack.

  • - The latest plugin for X-Plane and all its 3 platforms, Mac, Windows and Linux in 32 and 64 bit formats.

The plugin is based on the X-Plane SDK available at

In order to run it you will need a computer with a valid copy of X-Plane 9, 10 or 11 and a wireless LAN network which connects your computer to the iPhone/iPad/iPod device(s) on the same subnet / segment.

AirFMC for MacOS

We have just ported AirFMC to MacOS so if you have a Mac you can try it before you buy the iPad version. Functionality is the same although needless to say the iPad version is much more fun to use.

For the time being the MacOS version is free. If you enjoy it and own an iPad, consider purchasing its on the app store to encourage further development.

Download below, click and go. You still need to have the HSAIR plugin installed in order to use it.
